Why Choose a North Conway Elopement?

North Conway, New Hampshire is an absolute dream for adventurous couples looking to elope in the White Mountains. With stunning mountain views, scenic drives, and year-round outdoor activities, it’s the perfect place for an intimate and unforgettable wedding day.

Whether you’re envisioning a cozy winter wonderland elopement, a summer mountaintop ceremony, or a fall foliage-filled adventure, a North Conway elopement is all about embracing nature and doing things your way.

Best Locations for a North Conway Elopement

  • Kancamagus Highway: Endless Scenic Spots

The Kancamagus Highway is one of the most scenic drives in the country and offers countless breathtaking locations for your elopement. Whether you want to exchange vows at a secluded overlook or beside a cascading waterfall, the options are endless. Driving along the Kanc is a great way to give your photos and your day a bit more variety! One of my all time favorite stops along the kancamagus highway is the Lincoln woods trails. Just less than 10 minutes away from down town Lincoln you can find this stunning draw bridge and beautiful trails to explore.

  • Cathedral Ledge: A Cliffside Vow Exchange

For an epic elopement location, Cathedral Ledge is hard to beat. You can drive to the top (no hiking required – unless you're planning for off season!) and exchange vows with a jaw-dropping view of the Mount Washington Valley. You do need a permit to get married here but it's pretty easy to get. Check our more info on how to elope on Cathedral Ledge here.

  • Diana’s Baths: A Waterfall Wonderland

For couples looking for a water backdrop, Diana’s Baths offers a serene forest escape with cascading waterfalls, perfect for a quiet vow exchange. This spot can get extremely bus in the warmer months so it's important to plan for off times.

  • Echo Lake State Park: A Lakeside Ceremony

If you love the idea of a waterfront elopement, Echo Lake is a dreamy spot. The reflection of Cathedral Ledge in the water makes for an unbelievably picturesque ceremony location. This spot can also be SO busy, so again it's important to plan for off times.

A North Conway winter elopement is pure magic. Imagine snow-covered peaks, quiet trails, and a cozy fireside celebration. All the locations mentioned above that are normally buzzing in the warmer months, are so much more quiet and serene in the winter making it feel that much more magical.

Spring and summer bring lush green forests, wildflowers, and endless hiking opportunities. For an extra adventurous experience, consider a sunrise or sunset hike to a secluded location for your ceremony.

What to Wear for a North Conway Elopement

Since New England weather can be unpredictable, dressing appropriately is key:

  • Winter Brides: Wear a long-sleeve gown with a fur shawl and nude leggings under your dress for extra warmth.

  • Grooms: A wool suit or layers will keep you looking sharp while staying warm.

  • Footwear: Skip the heels—opt for hiking boots or stylish winter boots.

  • Summer Elopements: Choose light, breathable fabrics and be prepared for warm weather if you’re hiking.
